700mi on my Bones and my bars feel like they're gonna snap when I brake. I have poly bushings I'll install when I put my new bars on I'm ordering tomorrow. The rubber bushings are too squishy for my taste.

Poly bushings on mine. My bars are quite a bit heavier than the stock ones.
Someone mentioned more vibration with poly bushings. I've noticed nothing of the sort.
Maybe a light weight bar could transfer vibrations similar to a solid mount with poly bushing, but there was no way I was going with rubber bushings with my bars.

thanks, that's the first pic I have of me on the bike since the bar swap, they don't feel that much higher, but they sure look it...

You also have 12" bars. I believe the stock Heritage bars are 10"....so maybe the fact that your bars aren't 16-20" is making everything okay for you.

MY bars re really heavy too. If you do have excess vibration get Kury ISO grips. I could not imagine running with stock bushings and Carlini's. Carlini's are much heavier than stock bars as well.

I've got poly bushings on mine with Kury grips & the only issue I have is my thumbs going numb on both hands. I have to basically keep them off of the grips & shake them out from time to time.

If the rubber bushings aren't going to **** yet they will. Polly will give you a much more solid and secure feel.

I always ran solid mounts with apes. Vibration never bothered me and you just can't beat the solid feel they have.

I actually had the goodentites on the bike a few days before I did the apes. They even made the stock bars feel a lot more solid...the factory bushings are CRAP

Poly bushings and ISO grips made a noticeable improvement on all my bikes.
