Does anybody know what the purpose is for the hole on the rear part of the Crossbones front fender? I don't have a clue and there aren't any parts for that space in the HD catalog made for a Crossbones. So, what's it for? I'm not taking the front fender off and I'm not sticking a tassled concho over it either!
The painting opinion is interesting...maybe that was it. At first I thought it was for a mud flap as already suggested, but Harley doesn't make one for the X-Bones, nor do they make anything for the Bones that would need a hole in the fender. Strange.
Maybe the fender is compatible on another model and that particular application does have the option of a flap or extension. If there's an empty hole, a Harley owner is gonna find a way to fill it!
