Default Wide Tire Fatboy backrest ?

I searched Harleys Website first. Is there a backrest for the 2007 and up that you dont have to move the turn signals..? Did i miss it...? If it only comes in black ill chrome it...Thanks...

I don't know if you have to move the turn signals, but someone has a chrome detachable backrest for a 200mm tire Fatboy in the classified section now.

Default Backrest

Its only the detachable ones and i found away around that,you just have to grind off about a eigth of a inch off the locks or get the rigid mount that will fit.they are made for the cross bones i got mine on ebay

Do you think this will work if a do the grind thing....? Then ill chrome it...?

I have the detachable set-up and my signals had to move back, looks fine though. I wouldn't sweat moving them back because being able to strip it down in 30 seconds is the best of both worlds.

+1 either move them back or grind it down. But DEFINITELY go detachable. You'll be sooooo much happier when you can change the bike to any look you need in a heartbeat!

I keep my bike clean, but when the wife wants to go or I need a 12pack of Soda the backrest with luggage rack and bag snap on in less than a minute. I keep the bag fastened to the sissybar luggage rack. Best way to go for sure!

I got a real problem guys.....I removed the stock strut bolts came out pretty easy.....Butttttt now i have a real big problem ! ! I mounted the new sissy bar hardware with the new chrome bolts, they had some kind of yellow type lock tight on them. Now i cant get the new chrome bolts out....WTF ! ! I only put them with hardly any pressure on the 3/8 ratchet just to test fit and ill be damn they wont come back out. Im afraid something gonna snap...Im gonna loose it i tell ya. I just snugged them down, hell i can spin the big plastic bushing even...Im at a lost for words i tell ya...What is that yellow stuff on the bolts ?.....Pissed of in Ohio on a friday nite.........HELP ! !

Try warming them up with a hair dryer or heat gun.
