Rush 2:1 black exhaust on '11 Crossbones
#11
pipes are relatively easy. I did mine in a couple of hours and it was my first bike with not a lot of experience working on cars either. I did go running over to my buddy's house to ask him if the smoke coming off the pipes was an exhaust leak. Of course it was just the pipes curing or whatever it's called and went away. Be prepared for that. I highly recommend doing your own work as much as possible since it helps stretch the parts budget quite a bit

Take a look on the Rush Exhaust website. Go to Harley > Softail > full exhaust. Very nice looking pipes and would look great on the Bones. I live near Collegeville. I'll check out JD's and thanks for the advice!

To all, thanks for all of the good advice on this. I don't know why I'm thinking the pipes are such a big deal to do especially since I've done all the other work to my bike myself. Okay, I'll plan on ordering the pipes today. I'll check out JD's, as suggested, and maybe Phat Performance. I'll use a 1/4" drive with an extension and swivel. I'll also expect a little "smoking" at first when the pipes cure the first time.
