Softail mods- looks or performance?
First of all let's keep this thread on track. I'm sayin there are 3 kinds of softail modifiers. (if you have only changed your turn signal lenses, this thread does not pertain to you).
If you have spent more than $10,000 or more in modifications on your softail, which type of modder are you?
1) Customize completely for looks
2) Customize completely for performance
3) both
I personally fall into the catagory of #1 with some basic upgrades to performance, like stage 1 and S/E AC.

I'll be a 3 after it's all said and done. Most of my stuff is looks and function right now, but have done the stage 1 big bore also. However, after I'm happy with the looks and functionality, it'll be go go go. Cams/Exhaust/Fuel Management are all planned for this summer.
Please don't tell the OL how much I've spent on my bike :P

I don't have 10k into mods being a new owner, maybe $2k so far, but I suspect I will focus on #1. Probably just the basic stage 1 for performance. If I wanted a really fast bike, I would have bought the v-rod. While I considered that bike, in the end I decided I wanted a nice cruiser that didn't tempt me to kill myself by racing it.
