Default Motorcycle Parked in Garage and Young Children

Looking for some advice. I keep my bike parked in the garage when not in use. Now my kids , ages 6, 2, and 1, know better than to get on my bike without me being around to assist however the neighbor kids not so much.

I heard my garage door come up so my oldest could get his bicycle out of the garage but I never heard the door close. I came outside to check and saw the neighbor kid had hopped up onto my bike and was just having a blast pretending like he was racing away...rocking back and forth, attempting to move the handlebars, etc. I promptly got him off the bike and lectured him on that not being safe..

So with the exception of never letting anyone under 18 in my garage, what is a good way to help ensure my bike does not fall on anyone because of something like I just described? Anyone else had similar a similar type issue?

Thanks!

I have younger kids too and also keep my bike in the garage. I lectured my own kids, told them to tell there friends, told there friends, and told there parents. Wasn't mean about it, just stated the facts and made everything clear.

Put a cover on it? Makes it less attractive and much harder to climb on it.

Buy a cheap cover, and cover it, that way it'll make getting on the bike next to impossible, plus with it covered and somewhat hidden, it'll help remove the desire to play on it......

Or just to the radio shake siren mod... Only get on it once, be real loud going off in the garage!

+1 on the cover. Works to keep the monkeys off (we got real ones here) so should keep kids off too.

It's not only the kids playing on it, but near it. They swing sticks, throw things, crash bikes, heck we were all kids once, remember the stuff you did.

Get an old bed conforter-(whatever, those thick puffy blankets)-and cover the tins, then put a bike cover over it.

Have cats that like to jump on the bike when covered. Got a large tarp and hung it from the rafters. Completely surrounds the bike from ground to over 5 ft up. To tall for cats to jump over. Should work for kids too.
