Default HogDeluxe Bags w/ HD Rear Saddlebag Guards

Just talked w/ Mike (great guy / can't wait to do business with him). My question to him was this: Will the HogDeluxe saddlebags fit with the HD rear saddlebag guards? I want the guards and like the look. It's more of permanent mod, but I like the practicality of the HogDeluxe bags when I hit the road.

Anyone running this set up? If so, please respond and let me (possibly Mike) know how the fit is? Post up a pic if you can.

I don't see why they would not fit. But let's wait for the expert!

Probably depends on how far they stick out off the fender struts.

I don't have HogDeluxe bags but have the Heritage Springer bags with the Quick Detach Spools on the Fender Struts and it just makes it under the guards.

The guards aren't on in my Sig picture. Just put the set on this past weekend..

When I spoke to Mike he was also not sure. He recommended I ask the forum.

It will work. I have the Springer bags from Hog Deluxe with the rear saddlebag guards and there are no problems.

I'll post some pics later this week when I'm back home

I have the Hogdeluxe solo bags with the Harley Deluxe guards. I had to move the bags back on the mounts about 3/4". They fit tight and will make them kind of permanent. I have to loosen the guards to remove the bags.
I think they are a great addition and look great with the bags.

I have the Hogdeluxe solo bags on my Deluxe and found a like new set of Deluxe rear saddlbag guards on Ebay. They rub the front portion of the bags, so I opted not to install them. On my bike the bags would've have to be moved at least an inch rearward for the bars to clear. Also like was mentioned earlier you would have to remove or loosen the bars to remove the bags.
