D&D Fatcat owners...
When you pull the Fatcat out of the box how many pieces total is the pipe in. I am trying to figure out how I can get one shipped to APO. The D&D box is to large to ship to APO, so I was thinking about having my Dad rebox the pipe into two smaller boxes. Is that possible?

Somewhat. You can do it. You just won't have the safety packing that it is originally packed in.
Mine came in two pieces. The muffler is packed inside it's own box within the big box and the header was wrapped in foam and inside a bag. The box that the fatcat comes in is really large but that's because D&D packs the crap out of it in foam bags. When I got mine I thought... I musta paid 50 dollars just in packing. They do a great job though.
My friends are really luving my fatcat. They can't get over how throaty it sounds along with the cam and dyno.

I just measured my Fat Cat, the pipes without the muffler, would probably fit in a box 32"x18"x12". This would be with very minimum padding.
When you get the Fat Cat it would be a good idea to join the muffler to
the pipes, before you start installing them, just to see how they fit together..
When I did this the heat shield, which is one piece ,was a bit too far forward on the pipes, approximately 3/16". This allowed the weld to show between the mufler and the pipes.
I loosened all the clamps and tapped the heat shield aft with a rubber mallet. Then the fit was perfect.
I wouldn't have had room to do this once the exhaust was installed and would of had to remove the exhaust to tweak the heat shield.
