...stop drooling over your bike.
I could have said something else, but I kept it clean.

To better assist:
Did not see year, model and miles to better assist.
Possible isolation of exact area would help paint mental picture to question.
example: inner primary near belt ,shifter shaft or outer primary near floor board torx drain bolt.

Could be (among other things) :

A: Primary fluid from drain plug.
B: Primary fluid from Stator plug.
C: Transmission fluid from shift shaft seal.

Don't ask me how I know.

Not sure on the softies but on the touring bikes the derby cover gasket only works in one direction. Maybe yours got put in backwards?

Wipe it off good and watch. Bet it's the outer primary cover. Just a guess but when I had mine off I was amazed how warped it was. You need to start in the middle and slowly do top and bottom working out. I did it in about 3 steps before I got to torque. It would be very easy to not get it down flat. Harley's gasket is 3 layer with a slight v in it. I still used just a smear of RTV. I torqued by fill but I work on this stuff all the time. I would not normally think of any fluid in a Harley that is clear goeey liquid. Most all in mine is black oily.
