Default Started cutting the fender but need some input please

Fat boy rear fender arrived today and this thing is in pretty rough shape, no matter cause I'm cutting it down around the damage. Chopped it down to the length that I want but now I'm not sure if I should cut the radius cut I have laid out in tape? If so what the heck can I cut that with, I don't have a plasma cutter.

Also fender on the bike doesn't look right but I'm assuming it will look a ton better once painted and the bike is back on the ground so the tire will fill up the gap nicely.

By the way, I cut the excess off with a dremel tool and a cut off wheel.

Input and advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

J51

use a dremel to cut the sides too. I think that would really enhance the look.

Thanks Drew, i'm just afraid that with the dremel I wouldn't be able to hold a good line. I was thinking maybe a small hack saw?

Guess I won't know until I get in there and do it.

Go to Lowe's and get a Rotozip and ask for a metal bit to put on it. kinda like a dremel but more powerful.

Just use tape to draw out the cut line bro, and trim the sides but your going to have to add a curve so that it looks clean when the sides turn into the center

Default Did it.

Well I said screw it and cut it with my dremel. I think it came out pretty good. I might have to mess with the radius once I put the bike back down.

i agree. It looks good but if you are going to trim the edges, really trim the edges.
