Default Progressive 422s with lowering bolts?

I have a 98 ST with 422s at maximum lowered position. A couple of potentially dumb questions here:

Can you add lowering bolts to the 422s to get a little lower? trying to get about 3in.

Also, can you go lower than Progressive's recommended maximum setting of 9/16 of exposed thread?

Thanks!

The 422 Series shocks have a built in adjuster, so lowering bolts are not an option. We DO NOT recommend going lower than the instructions indicate.
