Exhaust wrap on Fatboy Lo
Don't have the cash for new exhaust yet. I thinking of punching/drilling baffles, gotta get alittle more noise outa this bike. I'm also thinkin of wraping my stock exhaust. Anybody messed with the stock Fatboy Lo exhaust. Anyboby used the Lava wrap? What size to use 1 or 2 inch wide? How many feet do I need? Any help and all opinouns welcome. Thanks

I don't think that you will be able to punch the baffels out on your pipes as the 2011 Fatboy Lo mufflers have Cats in them. If you find an easy to do it let us know. I am planning on buying a Rush Crossover system with the 1.75 baffles. Cost way less the VH. Found them on Ebay for $349.00

Since you asked about the "lava wrap" I have the DEI "titanium" on my Crossbones. I like it because ots not a typical color, kind of a bronze, it smoked for about 5 minutes when I first put it on, you don't have to wet it to put it on, and best of all if you don't wear gloves to wrap your pipes, you don't get the stuff all in your hands....

I punched my baffles after 3 days of owning my Lo. Sounded way better, not as good as my V&H pipes but way better over stock. I didn't feel any difference either. I rode it like that for a good month until Dr Vtwin hooked me up with pipes. I used to live near Pensacola, had this been 10 months ago I could meet you and trade stock pipes. I just took a long blade screwdriver and sliced open the baffles then a pipe maybe 3/4 or 1" and opened them up.
