Good call Chuck, forgot about Phrog's bike. It seems like forever since I went cruising through 1800 or so pages of nightrain pics, lol.
Want to keep the MOSTLY black, just like the feel and groove of the SoCal's.
Your bike fixed btw, or are we going to see a brand new TxOutlaw? You doing okay?

Country,
Congrats on your retirement and new career. I too punched out of the military then spent 8 years in the sand box as a contractor. Now I live in the Philippines and spend my days Riding or Wrenching. Customizing is a personal preference. It's your bike, don't worry about other peoples opinions. I do however recommend that you itemize, on paper, a well thought-out and detailed work plan then research and source your parts thoroughly otherwise you'll constantly be making costly changes.
I always itemize my projects into 3 categories;
-Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance
-Comfort and Handling
-Performance
Additionally, here are a few items and recommendations that worked well on my 03 Train:
1. Increase the width of the front tire from the 90 to a 120. My ride feels much more stable with the added width. Hog Pro cut me a good deal on a wider rim.
2. Add a Fork Brace. It will noticeably stabilize handling.
3. I had a machine shop fabricate 8 inch long foot-pegs which made a world of difference in ride comfort.
4. Consider adding an Oil Pressure Gauge and a Quality Oil Cooler.
If you have any questions you can mail me directly at olongapo2@gmail.com
Good Luck
Bob
