I do like the looks of the short fenders, though. It's a personal thing and probably whatever style HD chose, some customers would not be happy with it. I'll post more pics this weekend when I get my Motherwell Solo Rack installed..............THEN I'll be done (haha).
I take it you went with the black rack on yours. Either way it will look great. My son just got rid of his 2-up seat on his 95th anniv Sportster 1200, and we just put the Motherwell solo rack on it last weekend. Unfortunately his quick detatch backrest still doesn't clear the rack (only by a little bit). I wanted him to strap the tent on his, haha. Ironically, we are awaiting for his spring seat to come in the mail.

I got the HD bobtail fender luggage rack and stock sissy with an HD seat pad on mine as of 2 weeks ago. Miss the naked look, but don't mind it now. My stock seat is hideous (prefer your spring seat) and never rode it with it, as it was the first thing off along with the sissy. Gotta plan to travel now, and 200 lbs in a back pack sucks after a few hours. Posting a couple of pics with the new setup. One with pad and one without. Looks more like the Softail Custom bloodline again. I really don't care as long as it does what I want it to.

Post pics with the rack, would like to see it.

FXBadass,

Yes, I'm adding the black solo rack. It'll be delivered tomorrow and I'll post pics when it's all complete. I'll have Tribal floorboards, gloss black frame cover under the seat, and RSD Contrast Cut derby and timer covers put on. and......... THEN I'll be done!
