Default Cable options (brands) for my ape set up.....

I talked to the shop yesterday, and the Flyin' Apes, risers and bushings came in. Then we picked a set of grips....they had in stock. Then he said he would measure the bike after the bars were on and order Diamondback cables. I told him I would rather have Magnum Sterling Chromite IIs because I've read reviews of them....and its what everyone on this board seems to use.

I guess my question is....did I tell him the right brand of cable? Is there something better? He told me if I want the Magnums....thats what he'll get me.

IIRC, the HD cables are Magnums. Its just cheaper to buy the Magnums...ya done good.

I am running Barnett stealth cables, but I wanted solid black.

Yes you told him the right ones.Make sure he knows not just Magnum Shielding.Like you stated you want the chromite II 's. They also sell polished stainless braided cables that probably look more like the harley cables. There is quite a difference in color.
