Lindby or HD Moustash bar, which gives more room
I am thinking of getting a Engine guard (crash bar) for my 05 Fatboy. I like the looks of the Lindby best and second choice is the HD Moustach bar. Which one gives the most room at the front of the floor boards ?
I'm 6'2" and very comfortable on my bike but I like to kick my feet out towards the end of the floorboards , and that puts my boots over the front of the floor boards by about 5-6 inches. I have though about the Cruise Arms but like the look of the bar.
It looks like the Lindby kind of follows the same line as the down tube of the bike and the HD bars are more vertical and are forward fo the floorboards (at least on the RK).
If any one has pictures of the side view on a Lindby showing the distance between the front of the floorboard and the bar I'd like to see them.
Thanks.

RE: Lindby or HD Moustash bar, which gives more room
As you can see in my sig pix, I mounted chrome pegs on my Lindby (long before Lindby came up with their peg incorporated model design). Anyway I'm 6' and have them adjusted for my preference, I think it would work for you too. Not that I planned it this way, but it just so happens that the pegs will fold down at about 65-70 mph on their own. If I played with the torque setting I could fine tune that.

You really have to sit on a bike with a lindby bar to see if you'd like it or not.
I got one on my 04 fatty from the dealer.. sold it within a month.. hated it.
It's very personal, everone's different.. I have a friend that's 6'3"ish that loves his.. He throws the long legs over the top of the bar..
I'm 6'1'ish and like to kick the boots up on the cruise arms, like a footpeg.. I didn't like the high, bunched up foot placement on the lindby. To me the cruise arms are lower, more adjustable and perfect for stretching out without feeling like my knees are up under my elbows or all spread eagle like pegs outside of normal engine guards.
I suggest sitting on bikes with lindby's and also with cruise arms... it's the only way to know for sure what fits you.. comfort over looks anytime, I say.

HD is also high.
I can't use it comfortably, so I added pegs to it.
I still like the lines of it, just don't use the footrests. In fact, the rubber is just glued on (one fell off in the heat), so I'm thinking of removing the rubber and cleaning the glue off.
