Default jetting out the carb

im jetting out the carb on my 2003 softail fxst. i have a SE air cleaner stage 1 and vance and hines longshot pipes on it. i got samson short shots with the bike when i bought it and havent put them on yet would i have to rejet it to the samson pipes if i jetted it out to the vance and hines?

First I'd try just adjusting the idle screw on the bottom. The Welsh plug is removed isn't it? If it's running okay with your old pipes I doubt the new ones would necessitate a jet change.

Mount them up and run them for a while then do a plug chop, plugs should be a nice paper sack brown.
