Default New Seat Am I being too picky?

Just got my new seat today and I am not sure if I like it or not. Maybe I am being too picky?

I think the fender bib should be wider, at least wide enough to cover the white seat washers?

I don't like the almost 3/4" space between the fender and the seat pan. Can they be made to fit closer?

I don't want to complain it this is a normal look for a custom seat. I do like the seat covering as it matches the color of the bike nice.

The seat actually looks Bad A**. I like the color and style. There shouldnt be that big of a gap. that would bother me also. You could always just trim the white washers. They are plastic, right? Just take and trim them to hide under the Bib. Trim them enough, to where you can totally hide them.

either trim the washers down or get smaller ones.

when i picked up my seat mounting thumb screw from harley, it came with a black plastic washer no wider than the screw head.

i'm sure you can find them at auto zone or something.

the gap would drive me nuts, looks like maybe the pan needs to be shaped better?

The seat pan looks like it's sitting on top of the ecm. You might want to check and make sure that your not putting to much pressure on the ecm case. It almost looks like you have the wrong seat for the model of bike you have. My seat has a recessed pocket in the back to sit over the ecm.

I would agree with maybe the wrong seat or you need a deeper tray for the ECM.. I like the look but think the seat is not fitting correctly.

Somethings wrong with that seat, it should sit flush. Ditto the comment on wrong seat for your bike. I got a custom seat and it fits flush.

I would send that pic to whoever made that seat...and ask them...way too much gap. And try using the bib instead of the plastic washers...will get the seat a little closer.

I think you're on the right track. It looks good but it could look amazing. And I don't think you're being picky. Both issues would bug me too.

Seat looks great on your bike. The gap looks pretty big though. +1 would send pics to the seat builder.
