Default Power Commander vs. SE Tuner???

I would like to hear from you guys out there - what are your opinions of the PC series vs. the SE Tuner from Harley. Is one better than the other? What about availability of maps? I have an 08 Heritage, with SE Stage One, slips ons and had the re-map done at the dealer. I would like to have better control over the mapping and am thinking of adding a tuner module. Thanks for your advice!!!

Have you looked at Thundermax or a TSS unit?

I would find a local dyno in your area and find out what he is most comfortable / experienced tuning. Ask him how much time he will spend correcting your AFR because the more time he spends the more fine tuning he can make to the adjustments...HP / TQ will be another output but focus on getting the AFR smoothed out on the curve since thats what you will notice before HP/TQ. My local tuner likes the SEST better so thats what I went with, my motor runs smooth, temp dropped and is getting all the fuel it can handle. Good luck with your decision.

We've used both at our shop and I'd opt for the Screamin' Eagle setup. Saw a few of the PC's fail and strand people. The SE unit does not replace the original ECM and is basically "infinately" adjustable. Dynojet stood behind "some" of the PC's, but not ALL of them. We ended up eating a couple to keep customers happy.
