Default rear wheel size 17 x 6.25

hi, there are some aftermarket rear wheels 17 x 6.25 will these fit an 07 softail (fxst/c/b?)

If so, Do they take a 200 rear tyre or can you go a little larger?

Regards
Terry

Yeah, I just changed over to a 17 x 6.5 Ness wheel, with a Avon Cobra 200 x 55 x 17 tire, and I like it.

wheels make the bike IMO. theres lots of styles out there but if wheels are heavier it hurts performance and handling! wheel manufacturers "say" they do not know what a wheel weighs! called performance machine directly and got the BS answer, although i like some of their styles that "i do not know" = i WILL NOT BUY for me! i felt the difference of heavier wheels on my sportster, NEVER AGAIN!! worse part the front increased FORK FLOP on my 06 XL1200L

You may what to check to see if the wheel is for an 06-07 or 08-newer. It is not a direct swap between the model years.
Besides the different bearings/axle sizes, spacers, etc. may be needed.

When I was searching for custom wheels...17 x 6.25 was very hard to find...most of the aftermarket wheels were 18 x 5.5...the few 17's I could find seemed to have a much higher pricetag
