Default Anyone using a Woods TW-6?

I like the fact that this cam doesn't have an excessive amount of lift. I am concerned that it makes up for it by having longer duration with a steeper ramp. I have heard them running and they sound pretty good. Anyone have these cams installed with opinions and advice? I will eventually have an OD-6 Baker and a 95 kit to go with them... but I am getting near the cam chain tensioner shoe replacement time so I will do the cams at the same time.

Thanks.

I believe Jamie at fuelmoto had said that the tw-6 is close to the 555s as far as specs are concerned. I like the 555s a lot. If you go to their web page, they have a whole page of cam comparisons with dyno graphs

Send SC-Longhair a PM, he runs a Woods TW6. Real nice guy who can probably answer any question you may have concerning that cam.

I run the S&S 510G mostly the same specs and duration, power curve on mine starts 2900 rpm+ pretty much the same power as stock below 2900rpm

heres a sheet from the woods site.. Thumbnail below...

Also they have the 4*advance gear to get it to come on the cam sooner..

The advance gear is needed for better low end with the 40 intake close.. and it shows that with the tq starting a 2k. Also its a STD and NOT a SAE sheet, so if they did a SAE dyno the #'s will be a litte lower.

Don't know why theres a dip in the mid TQ line from 2700-4200rpms, thats where it should shine. Does make really great HP. Thinking a sheet from them wouldn't have that.

heres the page on different cams... actually the TW 6-6 cams shows better results on their sheets but on the spec page the 6 and 6-6 have the same numbers, Only have 1 96'' with a tw-6 dyno in there to look at..

Hard to beat the #'s woods cams make, but U pay for them.
