Default Cable Length on Fatboy Lo with 16" Carlini Flyin Apes

I just got my 16" Carlini Design Flyin Apes with their High Roller risers. Any suggestions as far as Clutch cable, Idle cable and Brake line lengths? Also which wire extensions are best to go with. I hear a lot about Novello. Which length is best for those?
After different shops asking anywhere from 600.00 to 1,000. for an install, I rather just do it myself.

I would think Carlini would be able to provide that info.

Default Internal Cables

Drew,

How long of cables (clutch and brake) would you think I would need to run everything (cables and wires) internal on 14in carlini gangster apes on a 2011 Road King throttle by wire with cruise and without ABS?

Thanks

I ended up going with Burly Brand. They have an entire kit that works pretty well. I just didn't account for my 2 inch risers and the width of my bars so I had to ad a few more inches to it to make it work. All in all it was a pretty good deal.

Hi.I am looking to get carlini gangster 16 inch but I am having dilemma after I read all the related postings. I am 6 4 so I am not sure which one is better fit 16 or 18. I care about the comfort. So if you don't mind. I have couple questions. What is your height? What size cables and what brand you used? And would u be able to post couple pics while u sit on your bike? Do you regret not having 18 rather than 16. Thank you for the time.

I am 5' 10" with shorter arms.I am running the Magnum Sterling Chromite II cables +10 all around. Most likely could have got away with +8 cables. But you may need the +10 if you are going with the 1.50 bars as they are about 5" wider than the full 1.25 bars. The only thing I really regret are not going with the 1.50 bars for the same price. Also I would have been better suited for 14" apes. Carlinis run tall my 16's measure over 17"s.

The only reason I stuck with the full 1.25 bars is because they are 36.5 " end to end.I thought the 1.50 bars at 41 end to end would be too wide for me.

I will tell you Carlini makes beautiful quality bars. But do your home work. They have so many different configurations available it gets a bit confusing. For ex in the Gangster series. The full 1.50 bars are like 41.5 " end to end. The full 1.25 " bars are 36.5" end to end. And the stepped down (to 1" clamping area) 1.25 bars are like 41" end to end. The Flyin Apes are a little narrower at 34" end to end in some configurations but just as wide in others. Like I said do your home work with the Carlinis So you get what you like.

I have not been able to post pics for about 6 months. If you want some pics PM me your email add and I can send them that way.

On another note my apes are coming off. I just ordered some custom made 1.50 beach Bars yesterday, from Bill at BR Custom bars should be here in about 4-6 weeks.
