I picked up the Craftsman Professional 1500 today and am quite satisfied with its stability and the ease of raising/lowering. It's rated at 1,500 lbs lift and weighs only 42 lbs. The detachable jack handle allows full access to the bike. Washing the bikes was definitely easier and more thorough.
Of course, now I have to get the wheeled mechanic's seat! Looking for one with beer cooler and cigar holder.
Life is good today!

I bought this stand brand new from a guy for $200 back in 07'. I loved it, just sold it about two months ago.... Wrong thing to do!

It worked out great Bud, I received the coupons that you sent yesterday and I went and picked up my lift at Harbor Freight today. It took maybe 20 minutes to assemble and had my bike up on it within 30 minutes of opening the box. I gotta tell you guys, for the sale price of $143.99 plus tax, it's a great lift! It's simple to raise & lower the bike by yourself and holds the bike securely. So much so that I rolled under with a creeper just to look for an oil leak ... found it, yay! You can place it on the left or right side of the bike and you can see in the pics below that it doesn't obstruct your access much either way. In fact I was already able to change my pipes with the bike positioned on the lift as pictured below.
Overall, I'm pleased as a pig in poo with my new lift. Quite the bargain for those on a budget like myself. Now I've got more $$$ to spend on parts
