I have read a few post where some have had them made up at a local brake or hydraulic shop.

I talked with Bill at BR Bars today and my bars and cables should be shipped within the next day or so. The problem is that I checked with him to make sure he ordered an ABS brake line which he did not so he called Magnum about it. They told him that they were not making the ABS break lines for the softails at this time but I know others have had to installed taller bars on their bikes with ABS by now. It states above that Dr. V-twin can get them but since Drew is no longer on here I don't know. Does anyone know if these cables were from Magnum. I assume they were but I am confused since they told BR that they didn't have them. Any info is great. Thx.

Ran into the same problem on my 2011 Heritage Classic. My local guy told me to get the HD one probably a better fit than the one drag makes. Other than that all cables are magnum. Dr.vtwin said they could get one from them, but needed more info from me. Took my cell # but never called me back. Maybe were busy and forgot. Anyway, waiting for the HD one to come in. I let you know how it works out.

What size did you get? I ordered a +8 which is HD # 41800062. Also just got off the phone with my local guy and he just came from a trade show where he spoke with a rep from magnum. The rep told him there is nothing available right now from them, but they will be actually making them for HD. No timeframe on that yet.

Hey Truckin,

Since I am in the same boat with my Blackline I have found a solution for you problem, so I am ordering the Heritage extension:

Copied from my Post on ABS & FWD Control topic:

Installing Apes & Risers, Total height 18"

Well just got back from HD!! after a lengthy battling discussion, if I want to install 4" risers and 14" Apes just to get 18" in total. I have to order the following:

  • Diamondback B/L Upr 34", 35 (Part# 41800062) 95$
  • Switch Wire extension kit 12" (Part# 62900034) 44$
  • Diamondback Clutch Cable - 76 (Part# 38859-09) 146$
  • Daimondback I/I - 42.5" (Part# 55712-07) 220$
  • Turn Signal Relocation Kit (Part# 68952-98) 88$

Grand Total: 593$ and I haven't even got risers of handlebars done yet and According to them that's the highest I can go.

Hope that helps resolve your problem too

I know you may see the Switch Wire extension kit 12" added, the reason they added that was they cant cut and extended them due to some crazy electrical sensitivity. I was nearly going to cancel the whole ABS system if no solution was available
