Gel in seats...worth it or not???

No, bad seat/fit will not improve with gel pad. I had my stock seat re-furbished with gel pad and foam and my tail bone still ached. I am currently on revision 3 of the seat, I decided to do the last two revisions myself.

if you do long distances i would think it would be worth it!

the seats baseplate or basepan is a big part of making a seat comfortable. Look at the bottom (underside) of astock seat most are not flat they have stress risers that put uneven pressure on your ***. aftermarket seats have as smooth molder or sheetmetal baseplate or basepan...
