A few guys have asked me if this is possible, to put the cholo's onto their V&H true dual headers. A good friend of mine is doing this as we speak as he does not like the look of the Samson shift linkage that comes with the cholos. When he is done i will find out what had to be done to make it work and get some pics next time I see him.

So it looks like it is possible for anyone else thinking about doing this. More to come.

Well, unfortunately the pipes will not line up with either bracket from the V&H or Samson set. It's a no go unless you want to make your own brackets.

Is that the only negative Drew? Making the brackets would be easy to do if that's all. The longtails would slip right on the header no problem though? and how did the skins line up?

 

I do know the pipes fit right on fine. Let me ask him about the heat shields.

The heat shields line up fine. the V&H headers are shorter than the Samson headers so the 39" fishtails will look more like 36"'ers with the V&H headers.

Good info to know. Thanks. Did they snap a photo of it the finish? I know there was no bracket so maybe that was impossible.

I ran into something similar using samson true dual headers with Rush mufflers. I used the stock springer muffler brackets. The mounting holes on the mufflers didn't line up with the muffler mounts so I fabbed (and i use the term loosely) a piece of iron strap to mount with off-set holes. Just shifted the holes back about an inch if I remember right. Worked pretty well.
