Default could use a little help with pc3 install ,

hello everyone , let me introduce myself before I go and tell you my problem , name is Sal , from ct , trying to get as much done on my 07 fatboy before spring gets here , had a 02 fatboy stolen last year and replaced it with the 07 and the adventure began again. ok I replaced the pipes with no problem, had the pc3 on previous bike tight under the seat but it fit, now on the o7, I mounted the unit behind the mud guard like direction shows that was no issue, the issue is the plug I have tried just about everything to make this plug fit under the seat but no matter what, it hits the seat, I dropped the fuse caddy down I cut just about every zip tie that holds wires and tried to move to make this thing fit, no luck. What am I missing has anyone had the same problem? If someone has the answer would gladly appreciate it.
