A\Fuel Pak or Race Tuner

A\Fuel Pak or Race Tuner
So today I was talking to the mechanic down at the dealer about my cross bones..
I asked him to explain the whole Fuel Pak thing to me that was put on with the Vance and Hines pipes.
He said Basically all it does is make the bike run a little richer so your cylinders don't get to hot and really doesn't do anything to boost performance and or horsepower.
He said if I wanted to do it right I should install the "Race Tuner" like on the Screaming eagle by Harley...
So now Im wondering: will this thing screw up my bike?, Should I spring for the Tuner? Or is this guy just trying to push some OEM stuff???

No. You don't need a tuner. The Fuel-Pak is more than sufficient for your needs. Basically, if you go with a free flowing system (A/C and pipes) in a stage 1, all you basically need is a basic download for your stock ECM. A Fuel-Pak would be better than that.
Technically, if you want to squeeze all the juice you can out of your upgrades performance-wise, than yes, you do need a SERT and dyno. Otherwise, the others will help your bike perform and run right.

Most of us start down the mod trail thinking we only will go so far, and before you know it, you're sticking a 107 in your scoot. I'd get the TTS Mastertune or the new Power Vision (Fuel Moto) to give you maximum flexibility, plus you'll learn a little more about how your scoot works. Not complicated, though. Good luck.

Don't mean to hijack, but now that we are on the subject, has anyone ever heard of this?

Looks like just another dealer trying to dip their hand in the cookie jar.
Never heard of it before. And judging by the members here......if none of them have recommended it, then its not worth my investement.
