I think I'm just going to let them know I won't pay more than $19000 OTD and walk if they won't work with me.

Is there really that much of a markup though? I've always been under the impression that the margins were pretty slim...? Still, there must be a lot of money in it given the quality of the dealerships!

No price on the floor right now as it's on dealer order already. They have others on the floor without ABS for $19,200.

Man I work for a car dealership, and have a couple of friends that work down the road at the Harley Dealership... There is one rule that you can always trust:

If they let you leave, YOU GOT THE BEST DEAL!!

I've been selling cars for a pretty good while and I've seen a lot of people leave when they were getting the absolute best.

Just let them present the numbers, if you dont like them just shake his hand and act like your getting ready to leave, he then will run back to the manager and both the salesman and the manager will in most cases chase you down... bring you back... and give you more numbers. If you don't feel comfortable with those, just leave. if you make it to your car then you got the best deal.

Hope this helps!
