Default 10 FLSTC Throttle cables

Over the weekend I swapped out the grips and added chrome switch covers on my 2010 FLSTC. I followed the instructions from the service manual and those Harley supplied with them. Everything went pretty good, considering I know two things about motorcycle maintenance...Jack and Chit!

When I first went out for a ride, I noticed that the throttle would stick open. When I would let off the gas, the engine would stay revved up and I would have to roll the throttle grip forward to get it back to idle. So I loosened the cables a bit, assuming that I tightened them too much, and also loosened the screw thing on the bottom of the switch housing. I think that was probably the problem as the grip turns smoother now.

Now when I release the throttle, it goes back to idle but not as fast as it did before. It is a more gradual slow down but not too slow. And the bike seems to idle like it did before I changed the grips and covers.

Does this sound like it should be alright and I am good to go? Or should I take it to someone and have them check it out?
Thanks

I ran into the same problem when I put mine on, but I made the mistake of buying cheap knock-offs from ebay. In the end I had to remove the throttle lock all together, which was fine because I never use it anyways. That pretty much solved it still wasn't 100% until it broke in a little. If you dont have the cables adjusted just right it could add to your problem. The main thing though with something like that: if you're not confident in it, get it checked out. You don't want your throttle to stick at a bad time...

Twer it me, I would pull the AC and adjust the throttle/idle per the manual. If you don't have a manual this may suffice:
