Newbie Questions About a Few Things on my bike

If the wire looks something like this, than it's a battery tender connection.
The transmission dip stick looks like this and is on the front/right side of the transmission.
And yup, sooner or later you'll need that T27. And if you're going to work on your brakes (calipers), make sure you have some 12 pt sockets (and I think these may need to be metric).

Amongst everyone posting above your questions have been answered... just wanted to add that the filter is a K&N Stage One... it's a good filter which is cleanable and has a 100,000 mile life span if treated properly. What kind of pipes are on the bike... if they are a good match to the AC, and the bike runs out... then I wouldn't change anything.

The filter element is definitely K&N, but was trying to identify the backing plate.
As T-Dub points out, you can also use that connector as an accessory feed for cell chargers, heated gloves/vests/jackets, etc.
You will likely also find a plug somewhere in the front of the battery box area, unless it is being used to feed the plug you found, which has a unique connector and is tied directly to 12vdc. There is an accessory pigtail you can purchase to provide three connectors from the one, if you have a need... part number is 70270-04
Enjoy the ride!
