My First H.D. ~ Fatboy Lo...Maybe.

Had to have the Lo
When I was planning to buy my first bike, I was toying with getting a retro Triumph Bonneville because it was half the price of a Harley.
My wife told me to stop being cheap and buy the Harley <- She's a keeper!
I knew what bike I wanted immediately. The Lo in Denim Black seems to me to capture the retro post-war look enough to make it stand apart from other bikes, with the addition of that big fat front tire and modern amenities.
I just had a conversation last week with a chopper builder that is doing significant mods to my Lo. He was trying to talk me into a skinny front tire and fender, remove the tins, replace the trees, etc... He just doesn't get it. For me that look is what I love.
Aside from the new Indian Chief Darkhorse, the FB Lo is the bike I had to have. The Indian stickers for $28K and the Harley has parts galore.
Get the bike, you won't regret it. And depending on your financial situation budget a few $$$$ for mods. You may think you like it exactly like it is today, but in 6 months you won't.

If it were me again, I would buy the bestprice and then just change everything to what I wanted as thats going to happen anyway in the long run. For me they never stay as a stock bike. Some people do, just not me. Any softail can be made to look whatever you want it to be

Haha good point.
Once again great reads. Thanx a ton.
When I get back in town this weekend from working the patch, Kanes dealership in Calgary is expecting me. Gut is saying order it without even testing.
Btw whoever feels like linking or suggesting 'loud' mods...plse do. First thing on the list is to make sure 4 wheels know I am around. I myself always appreciated the sound of a HD.
Next mod is to find an ol lady tie down....she is a lil chicken chit over the matter:P
