Yeah rquirch... just venting... thanks for your understanding!

I understand I'm an idiot for taking it apart without the part in hand... I get that. My main gripe is that I was told it would be delivered today, and was sent an email stating that it had shipped, and that I would "have it shortly". Given that this is about 30 miles away, my expectations were set. There are many courier delivery services here in California that will deliver same day... not sure about where everyone else lives.

Regardless, it was a calculated judgement and I got burned... my bad.

And yeah, I could drive my 'Vette tomorrow, or could steal the wife's 'Vette, but mine needs front brakes and an oil change and it is a b!tch driving an hour to go 24 miles when I can ride the scoot in about half the time. Bay area traffic sucks in the commute hours!

I guess I'll leave it on the lift and do the fluids while I'm at it.

And this was no knock on eBay... been using it for many years buying and selling, and have mostly good experiences. However, had this been me selling under these same circumstances, I would have driven the thing myself had the promise fallen through as it did. In fact, I did so once before just because they were fairly close (~45 miles) and they wanted to get it quick and save the shipping.

ebay rocks! where else can you get $2000.00 worth of parts for $400.00 no where so you have to wait a week big deal most of the time the dealer has to order it anyway.if you use a credit card through paypal not only is in insured but any implied warrenty will be doubled by your card holder assuming its from a store and not private..
Copy and print this so next time you buy something on ebay you can read over it.

Yeah man i feel yer pain I got most of the parts for my old mustang on the net, and shipping was allways unpredictable. But I allways prefer to buy stuff from my local indy. You might pay a little more but you can check it out when you pick it up and they'll take care of it if it ain't right.
And the more you deal with them, the more they will deal with you.
