Kowan I will have to do some checking on the spacers but I believe stock was reused. As for the holes no welding necessary. You drill the lower holes where the fender mounts to the forks so the forks block your vision from the old holes. The only way to tell is to get down and look through the wheel from the other side and you can see part of the old holes. When you use a larger washer it covers about half of the old hole as well since they are only about 7/16" apart.

Alright guys I took some of the constructive criticism and ran with it. I have a set of the chrome topdown front axle spikes coming and a kuryakyn vertical mount license plate holder coming. I removed the old plate holder and I have a small issue. The paint is horrible under the mount so now I have to figure out how to cover it? When I get the new mount I may just try installing the led outer plate frame flush to the fender like I did on my street glide (see album). Not really sure yet. I will keep you guys posted. I also have the kuryakyn zombie infinity horn cover from my street glide (see photo album) that I am going to try and adapt to cover the hand grenade. It will make for a cool cover and more led's. Pictures to come soon

billyo2222, Sick Bike!
We got the same taste, starting to add black to my red Rocker too.
I just threw on a black derby cover, I know small mod, but I must say big impact. You should look into it, they'll go with those sick wheels.
As for a side mount, made my own out of a piece of scrap iron and the old plate mount.
