I don't think it helps the looks at all.

Front spoiler, its a HD part, the paint job is custom.

It doesn't get in the way of oil filter change.

I use a tray that fits under the filter and runs to left side of bike and drains into a bucket. I never have a mess! (slight drippings when you pull it away) so still no problem. if you look on my deuce in my avatar, you can see my spoiler, I did a whole lot of work to make mine look one piece, and actually bought a couple frame rail pieces to make just one look custom, and it does!
