I couldn't believe how loud these were when I picked up the bike yesterday.

Is that because it's in the garage? Are the baffles removed? I feel like I'm at a drag strip.

Even in the driveway it sounds like a damn rocket. Garage probably makes a difference though, you're right. Compared to stock however; it's like I'm on someone else's motorcycle now. I'm going to put the saddlebags back on to help muffle out the noise.

It has the "quiet" baffles installed, but not sure what they're supposed to do as it sounds like hellfire coming out of those puppies.

Being in the garage doesn't help. You should hear my short shots ( I put them on my deluxe now) even louder.
Yours have the quiet baffles in too? damn I was thinking of getting them but might skip now

Those are the quiet baffles??? Maybe they need to be repacked. The quiet baffles are not super quiet, but they don't sound like that. Yours sounds like racing pipes. Funny, those would be a dream come true for many. I have stock pipes which are to quiet and restrictive, but those would be way too much for me.

Yea, the dealer put it all in yesterday. He took the stock baffles out of the pipes (I've got them still in the box) and the quiet baffles supposedly are in the new pipes. I dropped all the parts off so I know what they looked like before he put them in. They had white gauze looking stuff all over them.

From my experience, the "quiet" baffles aren't a whole lot quieter than the regular baffles. Just a tad bit quieter and a little deeper. At least that's the way they were on my Longshots.

If you went from stock to those they will definately seem so much louder, but compaired to others not so bad.

Sounds good. Being in the garage makes a huge difference. You should hear my Samsons....they're unbaffled......I don't start the bike in the garage.

I have shortshots and with BCT in there they are real loud in a garage. Outside they are loud. Just go fast down the road and you won't hear them that much
