Default Cross Bones discontinued for 2012!!!!

Got this from another thread figured folks in here might want to know.

As a result of our most recent review, we are announcing the discontinuation of three motorcycles for the 2012MY for all sales markets worldwide. The models listed below will no longer be in production beginning with the 2012MY:

* FXCWC Softail® Rocker™ C
* FLSTSB Softail® Cross Bones®
* FLHXXX Street Glide® Trike

What do you think this will mean for the value of your XBones? Are you surprised it was dropped? The MoCo does this a lot with cool bikes.

If this is true, all I can say is......Its about damn time they discontinued the Rocker. I just didnt see how they could be making anything with it. I almost never see em, which means they cant be selling. Sucks about the bones tho. Wonder what black bike theyre gonna do next.

If this is true, they will probably resurrect them on an as needed basis. The Tri-Glide would really surprise me.

They alternate the line up all the time. It keeps things interesting.

Guarantee it'll be the Deluxe. Just look in the parts book at the soft tail section and see the blacked out Deluxe .

Plus this one looks pretty sick

When the springer classic dissapeared, people were trying to get their hands on one 'round here... soon they all forgot about them... It's hard to predict.

As for their value... It is a pretty recent model, I see no effect on that.

Mimo.

I hope they do!!! That would be great! Seriously, the less Cross Bones out there the better I like it. This means I don't have to keep doing mods to my bike to make it my own.

As for value...I doubt it does anything to the value one way or another.

They did this to the Wide Glide and brought it back after a short break. The Cross Bones, assuming this rumor is true, will be back. It is too popular not come back. I think it will come back with the Dyna Street Bob rear fender.

Default Its Ok with me...

Supply and demand... I think if no more bones are made they will go up in price eventually, but even if they dont I think this move by HD will help the bones retain its resell value..
I also agree that for those of us that have them it is a good thing because less of them will be out on the street, which will make them stand out even more.
The bad thing is, possibly the price of parts that are specific to the bones will rise, but luckily there are not to many to worry about.
Just hearing this news makes me dig mine that much more...

The Rocker C is what made me stop and take a real look at buying a Harley. Despite the fact that I went with a Heritage, it did the job of advertising (IMO). Plus, it's a cool looking bike.

I like the look of the Cross Bones too. Too bad to see them go, but you know they'll just replace them with something else.
