I'm torn between the 2 seats. The silhouette has a little more cushion, but how much more then the bare bones can it really have?

Maybe some pics or real world experience can help me out here. I don't wanna spend $300 on something that will ruin riding for me.

I have the Silhouette 2-up on mine and I love it. I can ride all day on it. It's way better than the stock seat.

The other reason I'm thinking Silhouette is because I can get the pillion for whifey if she feels inclined to ride with me.

IMO... the "barebones" is 100% better looking cosmetically than the "silhouette".... I'm runnen the "barebones" and have no complaints on comfort..... and also IMO... if the wifey wants to go on the road with you throw back on your stock set-up.... "barebones" for 1-up .... stocker for 2-up... This is what i do myself...

go with the barebones, much better looking on the softails.

but since you're asking...i'd stop worrying about comfort and start worrying that you're gonna spend $300 on either one of those seats.

they're on e-bay all day long for under 200 bucks.

On a barbones he's gonna need a LXE-007... His bike is a 2011 which mounts in the rear not the sides... Very rare to find them on e-bay. Almost never actually.... I looked for months... Then i broke down and ordered one from American Classic Motor.. They were cheaper than everybody (yes i called/checked several different places).... seat arrived in a week.
