Default Hard Bag Fat Boy

Here are some pictures of a project I've working on. I put some hard bags on my FB. I like the way it turned out. I think it looks like what Harley would have done. Now I just need a set of wheels.

If you dont mind what did the setup cost ya? What parts were used? I am thinking of doing the same thing and cant decide between boss bags or hard bags.

I got the bags for $500 bucks. The mtg. brackets from cyclevisons were about $350. The latch kit was about $325 and I gave a buddy of mine $200 to repaint my frt/rear fenders and bags. The led strut lights were less then a $100. You can do it cheaper if you watch the ads for bags. The latch kit was a unexpected cost.

saw a softail custom on here awile back, did the same thing...not bad....my thought,if you could mount them a little higher to hide some of the top of the rear fender....course that would look a little too high on the bottom side,so then you add the bag extensions.......??

It's funny you say that. I repainted the rear because it had that blue stripe that matched the tank. That blue stripe stood out like a sore thumb. I am glad the bike is black. Everything blends in better.

If you leave the 2 into 1 you can put the hot food in the right bag and the cold beer in the left one... lol Bike looks real good with the hard bags!
