Angry Service Costs!

Took my bike in for the 15000km service for the first time today and they are charging me 275 dollars for an Oil and Oil filter change and some grease here and there! Stealer isnt the word for it.

How much would a routing service like this cost in the US??

I do it myself and avoid the stealers. I do not remember but almost sure they wanted something in the $300.00 range here for the 1000 mile service. That is why I do it myself.

On a side note: The 1000 mile oil change that I did was around $90.00 for supply's for all three holes and filter using HD synthetic+ a bottle of Lucas. Last week a non HD shop relocated closer to me and now has Aimsoil and I bought 3qts and that was $30.00.

Well this is the first and last time I service it in the stealer, Ill learn how to do it myself and save the $$$ for my mods.

The problem is because they are the only licensed HD dealer they charge double for everything. They had a jacket I wanted and were charging 760$ dollars for it. I looked for the same jacket on Ebay and got it for less than 400 shipping included! And the qaulity is much better aswell.

I took my bike in for the very first oil change after I bought it. Cost me a little over $300 to get it back. Plus $25 for an LED turn signal bulb that they broke. I do all my own oil changes now. Only reason it goes to the dealer is warranty work. Best thing you can invest in is a service manual. Step by step instructions on just about everything you'll ever need to do to your bike. Comes with pictures too!
