Default Crossbones seat and passenger pillion

New to owning a Harley, and have no idea what take off parts go for. I have the tractor seat and all mounting hardware plus the passenger seat.. Anyone have a clue where to sell them and for how much? Have seen people on ebay charging 500 for just the tractor seat setup can i really expect to get this much. Parts were taken off before the bike left the dealer because the wife wouldn't ride home on anything but a sundowner seat

thanks

I'd try Ebay. What people ask and what they get are two different things.

Do an advanced search on ebay and look at completed listings. That should give you an idea of what you can expect. The ones with the price in green are the ones that sold.

Here is a link to a page that has a couple of completed ebay listings.

thanks for going out of your way to help. do you think it would be better to split them up and do 2 different auctions?

was thinking of just starting the seat and hardware at 150 and the passenger at 100 with free ship.

I'd probably start with a lower opening bid and put a reserve on it. That will get some bidders interested and if you are lucky a couple of them will get caught up in it bid it up to or past your reserve. A high opening bid will stop allot of people from even considering it. Everybody wants something for nothing but once they have bid they often forget about that and just want to win the auction.

$100.00 sounds pretty high for a passenger seat to me.

Good luck

not looking for a sucker thanks for being honest. that's why i'm asking questions. originally i thought 150-200 for both would be great, but then i see 2 auctions at 499 for just the tractor and hardware and think holy crap i need to ask some people with more knowledge before i put them up for like 50 no reserve.

After a month you can sell stuff on here. I sold a bunch of stock parts I took off during my X-Bones project. You have a large audience who are all bike owners and you could even trade. Plus no EBAY rake.
