Thumbs up Cabling/wiring

Poochie, did you have to purchase new brake and clutch cables, or did the stock cables work? If you replaced them, what length did you need to buy?

Also, is there a simple plug and play wiring harness extension, or did you have to do some splicing?

I have the bars in my garage...just waiting to install them.

Any information would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thank you!

On my 2010 fatty all cables worked. No wire extension needed. I want to add the my front break line is to long now (around 2" or so) but it works. Still trying to figure out a shorter one

You can pull the pins at the connectors but I cut/soldered/heat shrunk mine and added length at the time only if I decide to go another route. I also ran the front turn wires directly to the lights since they are to the forks and not threw the bars.
It really is a very easy job to do and you can pull it off in a few hours.
Worst part is dealing with the control housings in my opinion.

Hi,
I have these on my Rocker and in my opinion they make the bike handle a whole lot better. The fitted straight on, only fiddly bit is re-wiring them.

Poochie,
I have a Fat Boy Lo as well, and a pair of new street slammers hanging out in the garage waiting to be installed. Did you have to replace the cabling when you installed the slammers? If so, what lengths were needed?

Also, did you go with a plug and play wiring extension, or did you do the ol'd splicing trick?

My HD dealer is of no help with questions of the sort.

Thank you!

I put Slammers on my Street Bob and love them. Got rid of those mini apes as soon as the Slammers came in.
