Default Jiffy stand makes my heart skip a beat

Have had the Harley kick stand collaps on me a couple of times. Luckly I still had a handle on the bike and it didn't fall. But now everytime I get off of it I'm worried it's going to fall.
Is it just me or does the Harley Jiffy Stand concern others? Need adjustment?

Really? I dump mine over on the stand with little worry at all. I have found the HD jiffy to be a great design especially compared to some of the rice models out there.

Just make sure you kick it all the way forward before leaning the bike over. I learned to do this when i was still riding japaese bikes. I always do it twice to be certain.

As Drew mentioned make sure the stand is all the way forward before putting the bikes weight on it. I actually pull the bike backwards as I transfer the bikes weight to the stand, this insures it is all the way forward.
Cheers!

Ditto on all the above. I really get nervous when I have the front end cranked all the way to the right, and just as I turn and walk away I hear it it flop over to the left. Just this morning I ordered the HD center stand. I always used one on my other bikes and this Heritage needs one too.

Default .

I find myself kicking mine forward a couple times before I lean her over. Sometimes, it just looks like she is on her way over, but never had it happen.

If bike is used check stand 1 time, If bike is new check stand 2 times, If bike has more money in mods than you can remember check stand 2 times and pull back, then put large pillows around sled and then fasten 2 cables to the front and 2 cables to the back tighten by fastening to concrete with hilti gun!

As long as it's lubed, I've never had a problem with the stand not going all the way forward with a single kick.
