Default Any Tips for installing my long boy fender??

Just got my fender in the mail today and I sat it on my bike I think it's gonna look sweet. Figured I'd ask for some tips others have used to line it up for drilling. I want it to sit really snug on my tire and be straight of course

i taped a garden hose to the wheel but you could use a extension cord...mocked fender alignment by eye, marked holes with pencil...measured distances of the pencil marks to verify they match both sides...
probably not the best advice/way of doing this, it's just what i did...good luck

Figure out much space you want between the fender and tire and then go buy some rubber hose with the OD the same as the space you want. Tape the hose to the tire and then set the fender on the hose and wheel. What fender is that? Who makes it?

Just remember it needs a gap. Don't get nuts and try to run it as close as possible to the tire. Tires grow at highway speeds and ever more at 100 MPH. There has to be room between that fender and tire to accommodate growth.

Yea that's kind of the info I was looking for. What's the general rule of thumb on how much space I need between the fender and tire

That fender is gonna look sweet! I've been thinking about getting one for awhile. Soo many things and not enough cash.

I agree.. Trying to make the shotgun shock thing happen myself. sure is hard taking baby steps when I wanna take off and run. I have a list and it just keeps getting longer and the cash gets shorter. lol
