Personally I would get a bagger, any Glide, and leave the Softail for solo riding.

Having a Lo for a year now, and riding 2 up with the wife for weekend trips I can see the appeal of the touring bikes.

The softail can turn heads when you are at a watering hole or just cruising through town. The bagger is truthfully going to be the best for going on some long trips, being comfortable, AND can be looking good.

Personally, I am liking the Road Glide Custom right now, but the Street Glide is always a nice looking bike. Plenty of room for custom paint or maybe some "von dutch" style pin striping. Throw on a nice passenger pillion, then you are talking a good 2 up ride. I don't like the tour packs because of the added mass and weight distribution though.

I only don't mention the Road King because its a completely different bike, but why would you want two bikes that look similar to the untrained eye?

If you can afford an ego trip, then 2 bikes. Otherwise just own the 1 you want most.

My advice is buy a SG. That's what I did, and still have the fatty. Best of both worlds.

Not sure if I will be able to go with a SG Shakey, but an Ultra is in my price range for sure. There is some awesome deals out there right now!

I am keeping my softail no matter what else I do. It will be my sons in a couple years. Just not sure if I should buy another to put all of my touring stuff on or not???

As for having money AFTER the divorce....well just say I am a very good saver

Get a tourer, sell me your extended hard bags, and keep the softail looking slick like in your sig. That is a no brainer. 2 bikes are always better than 1.
