Hey Man here are the pics.I almost didnt want to post them with all the scratches in them.Just note!!!!! after I put on my new exhaust my 7 yr old wanted to put these on his bicycle.I love that kid. After he was done with them I just threw them up in my attic into a box of spare parts. They have lead a VERY, VERY tough life the minute they came off my bike.Under normal use the finish was very durable and never had a problem with rocks, chips or scrathes when they were on the bike.

I wish I had taken a picture when they were on the bike but I never did. They did look good on the bike. You could see the chrome on the head pipes through the holes I drilled it looked real sick.Good Luck. Want to see pics when they are done.

I don't have pics but I did the exact same thing. Scuff up the chrome, paint, dry, replace, and then pick up girls. It looks bad ***, was fun to do, super easy, and cheap! Totally made my bike look way better. I figure if I screwed it up I would just get them powder coated.

I think that's very creative to paint the heat shields. If I go with a black denim re-aint on my FXST, I may do that to my chrome BSS exhaust and leave the tips chrome.

I had the shields HI TEMP powder coated for 50 bux, left the slip on turn outs chrome. Got alot of complaments. Now I wrapped and ceramic coated them and I like them better.
