while I had the heads off I would have a good street port job done. Thats what I am doing with mine. Yes you will spend about another $500 but I think its worth it

I have 07 FLSTC with that stage II your talking about, and the 255s big shot longs and race tuner. I also ride two up 95% of the time I am satisfied with what I have, but would always take more, that said mine makes 89hp and 107lb. torque. BIG improvement over stock.
no matter which way you go new or reworked doing the heads is a must it will make a big difference. i would not do the big bore with out the heads that's just my opinion. if you do not have the money wait and do it right you wont be sorry
i had the big bore and cams done!! i went with andrews 37 cams, they go good!
many people rave about the woods cams, they may be worth a look!
one thing i should of done when i changed cams is i wish i went gear drive cams! never have to worry about cam tensioners again!

That's the best advise you will get when it comes to going bigger.. DO THE HEADS while they're off..
The easiest way to understand this (in my opinion) is what Steve at GMR Performance told me: "These engines are like big air pumps- the more air you flow in and out, the better they perform." This includes your air intake, head-flow, and exhaust.
