Default 200 / 240 / 250 on a 99 softail custom

Hey all I'm Chad & new here, looking for a few answers on a modifying a Softail I'm real close to buying.

My wife wants a fat rear tire but not a radical chopper. (She'd prefer a RoadKing but I've never seen one with big tire)
I'm about to pull the pin on a '99 softail but I'm wondering on costs involved on going bigger.
Also even though I'm mechanical I have 4 kids...enough said.
I don't have much time to do this myself so how much shop time are we talking? (this may help me make time!)

Thank you in advance for any help or opinions. Chad

It has a Delkron engine (or at least case) which I've never heard of but for a '99 it only has 5500 miles.

Picture of it:

How about a 2000 softail with a 300 series tire on it?

Take care,
Baldman

So how is it titled?
HD or something else?
Is it a salvaged title?
Aftermarket frame?

Unless you're getting a steal of a deal (and even then I would be hesitant) but you have to wonder what's up with the non-OEM cases if it is registered as a Harley.

To answer your original question, $big bucks$ for a fat tire if you're not going to do it yourself.
Kits start at $1800, and that price is no wheels, no tires, and no labor.

Titled as a softail replica, not a salvage title but aparently an aftermarket frame.
Supposedly cost over 30k to build, he has recipts but I didn't see any yet.

$8300, so is that a steal, I sure thought so! If I pull the trigger it needs to be within the next two days.
