Default For those bagging your softails...

I got some info from the touring guys (thanks!) and made some organizers for my bags out of an old over the shoulder bag I had. I cut off the out side pocket and trimmed it down to size. I sewed in some dividers so it has three pockets for various good. I put some grommets in it so it can mount right on the pins and some Velcro on the back to keep it flush in the bag. I sewed around the edges to keep it from fraying as well.

Then I cut the inner organizer portion of this bag off and sewed the edges and put some grommets in it for easy mounting in the other bag. I am waiting on my Brukus Saddelbag Secure to arrive and I will pop these in my bags and keep various stuff in tehm. the organizer pockets gets meter money, a flashlight, leatherman, zip ties, electrical tape, etc. I am not sure what will go in the other yet. I avhe a small toolkit I keep in my bag already, but ordered a tool roll and will be making a better kit now as I now have more space for stuff.

I am thinking about sewing my own organizers if anyone is interested. It might be a bit as I just learned to sew yesterday. These will be flush on the inside of the bags so there is still plenty of room for everything else. I have issues with organization and I think these will really help me.

I'll be putting this in when my Brukus Saddelbag Secure arrives. It should be today, tomorrow, or Wednesday. Full pics (way oversized as usual) to follow.

This is a great idea! Now if I only knew how to sew. Maybe we should start a "Learn to Sew" forum :-)

If you have a sewing machine it is pretty easy. That is what I said before the OL showed me what to do.

That's awesome!

I keep getting laptop bags that go into a pile in the closet. Great idea!

I went to Walmart and bought a organizer that slides over the sunvisor in a car for my wife's Heritage. I punched a couple of holes in it and it works great.( I will add the gromets, great idea). I keep the registration and a few other small items in it. Mine is too small for the owners manualso I keep both owners manual in my Ultra. Great Idea.
