Anybody with the Woods 555s notice a difference in the sound? I am definitely going with these cams based on performance alone, but it would be nice to know if the sound will be an added bonus....

Yeah but with those woods cams you need some big comp too...

37G's with a 510 lift is as big as I could go without going into the heads...

No, this is NOT TRUE. I've got the Woods 6-6's with stock compression and I have a great dyno chart. The 555's are just minor variant's of the 6-6's and they run great with or without higher than stock compression. Hell, Jamie at fuelmoto installs these all the time with stock compression and the results are great. And to the person asking about nice sounding cam lope with the 555's, yes they have a great sound to them.

Default Re: Cams

My Rocker has the lope you seem to want. it is a little of a pain in slow traffic, as the bike doesnt come up in RPM without a little bucking. OH, almost forgot, i have the Screamin Eagle 255 cams. they are called "Torque Cams". i can certainly lug this engine to death and just crank it on and the bike accelerates. I have done just a "few" other mods to this engine also. if i am crusing at 50 or so, i always have the bike in 6th gear. most other bikes seem to only like the 6th speed at interstate speeds.
just my 2 cents.
